The Monk

The Monk is a melee fighter who channels inner energy through martial arts. Unlike Knights who rely on weapons and armor, Monks fight with their fists and balance between building Harmony and spending it for powerful attacks. Master the three Virtues and unleash devastating combos to dominate the battlefield.

Class Overview

Monks use Fist Fighting as their primary skill and wear light armor with the special mantra attribute. They promote to Exalted Monk at level 20.

Key Stats:
  • Primary skill: Fist Fighting
  • Weapon: Fists (no weapon needed)
  • Armor: Light armor with "mantra" attribute
  • Playstyle: Melee combo fighter with support capabilities
  • Passive: Gift of Life — when you would die, you are healed for 10-20% HP (5 min cooldown)

The Harmony System

Harmony is the core mechanic of the Monk class. Your spells are divided into two categories:

Builder Spells — These spells build your Harmony state. When Harmony is active, your builder spells deal +4% bonus damage. During Focus Serenity, this increases to +8%.
Spender Spells — These spells consume your Harmony for powerful burst attacks. Spenders are your strongest abilities but require Harmony to be active for maximum effect.

Tip: Always use a few Builder spells before unleashing your Spenders. The rhythm of Build → Build → Spend is the foundation of monk gameplay.

The Three Virtues

Virtues are stances that define your role. Only one Virtue can be active at a time. Switching Virtues costs 210 mana and has a 10-second cooldown.

Virtue of Justice

utito virtu

Offensive stance. Enhances your raw fist fighting power.

+8% Fist Skill

Virtue of Sustain

utura tio

Healing stance. Massively boosts all your healing output.

+35% Healing (+70% with Serenity)

Virtue of Harmony

utori virtu

Balanced stance. Empowers your builder/spender combo damage.

+4% Builder Damage (+8% with Serenity)

Tip: Use Justice for solo hunting where you need raw damage. Use Sustain when supporting a team or in dangerous situations. Use Harmony for sustained combos in party hunts.

Focus Serenity

Focus Serenity (utamo tio) is your ultimate buff. Level 150, 500 mana, 10-minute cooldown.

During Focus Serenity (45 seconds):
  • All Virtue effects are doubled
  • Virtue of Justice: +8% → +16% Fist Skill
  • Virtue of Sustain: +35% → +70% Healing
  • Virtue of Harmony: +4% → +8% Builder Damage
  • Gift of Life heals 20% HP instead of 10%
  • Visual emblem appears on your character

Tip: Save Focus Serenity for boss fights or dangerous pulls. With Virtue of Sustain active, your healing becomes incredibly powerful at +70%.

Tips & Tricks

Early Game (Level 8-50)

Start every fight with Swift Jab (exori infir pug) to build Harmony, then use Tiger Clash (exori infir nia) for burst damage. Tiger Clash doesn't require Harmony, so you can use it freely. This simple 2-spell rotation will carry you through the early levels.

At level 14, Double Jab (exori pug) becomes your main builder. Combo: Double Jab → Swift Jab → Greater Tiger Clash (exori nia) at level 18 for strong burst. This is the core Build → Build → Spend pattern.

Activate Virtue of Justice (utito virtu) at level 20 for +8% Fist Skill. This is your go-to for solo hunting.

Mid Game (Level 50-100)

Fury of Blows (exori mas pug, level 35) + Sweeping Takedown (exori mas nia, level 60) form your AoE combo. Build with Fury, then spend with Sweeping to hit groups effectively.

In party hunts, switch to Virtue of Sustain (utura tio) and use Restore Balance (exura tio sio) to heal teammates. The +35% healing bonus makes you an effective off-healer.

At level 40, you unlock Inflict Wound (utori kor) — a physical damage spell shared with Knights. It's a great filler between your builder/spender cycles on a 30s cooldown.

Chained Penance (exori med pug, level 70) works well against groups — it bounces to 4 targets and builds Harmony at the same time.

Advanced (Level 100+)

Your ultimate single-target rotation: Forceful Uppercut (exori gran pug) → builders → Greater Tiger Clash (exori nia). This is your boss-killing combo.

At level 150, Focus Serenity (utamo tio) doubles all Virtue effects for 45 seconds. Best used during boss fights or tough pulls. With Virtue of Sustain + Serenity, healing is boosted by 70%.

Mass Spirit Mend (exura mas nia, level 150) is a healing spender that heals all nearby players. With Virtue of Sustain active, healing gets a +35% bonus.

General Tips

Gift of Life is your safety net. When you would die, you're healed for 10% HP (20% during Serenity). It has a 5-minute cooldown, so don't rely on it — but it can save your life in emergencies.

Monks are versatile. You can switch between DPS (Justice), Healer (Sustain), and Combo (Harmony) roles mid-fight. Adapt to the situation!

Look for equipment with the mantra attribute — it's monk-exclusive gear that provides bonuses to your spells.
